Switching from TLauncher
How to transfer modpacks, worlds and your nickname from TLauncher to the Millida Launcher, what carries over and what happens to your skin.
Updated October 24, 2026
TLauncher modpacks and worlds transfer to Millida in a couple of clicks. TLauncher itself is not removed, and its folders stay as they were — a copy is transferred.
On first launch
At the “Let's transfer modpacks” step, the launcher searches the drives for modpacks from other launchers itself. If it finds TLauncher, a “I used to have TLauncher” button appears. It:
- transfers all the TLauncher modpacks it finds;
- saves your TLauncher nickname as an offline account — “Nickname from TLauncher saved: …”. If you are already logged into another account, it stays active.
Of the TLauncher files, the launcher takes only the nickname — login data is not transferred.
Later — via “Import”
- Open “Import”.
- In the list of found modpacks, find the TLauncher ones — they are labeled TLauncher or TL Legacy.
- Click “Add” next to the modpack you need.
If the modpack you need is not in the list — TLauncher was installed in a different folder — click “From folder” and specify the TLauncher game folder. Usually this is %AppData%\.minecraft or %AppData%\.tlauncher\legacy\Minecraft\game.
What gets transferred
Worlds from saves, mods, configs, resource packs, shaders, datapacks and game settings (options.txt). The game version and loader are detected automatically.
After the transfer, launch the modpack once: the launcher will download the missing game files, the loader and Java itself.
Skin
TLauncher skins work through their own TLSkinCape mod. It applies a skin from the TLauncher service and overrides the one selected in Millida. That is why, in a transferred modpack, the launcher disables this mod: the file is not deleted but renamed, and you can bring it back.
The skin in Millida is selected in the “Skins” section. If the skin is not visible in the game — see Millida mod and skin in game.
Nickname and account
The TLauncher nickname transfers as an offline account — with it you join the same servers under the same name. You can change the nickname or add a Millida or Microsoft account in the accounts menu — see Minecraft license and login and How to change your nickname in the launcher.
If the modpack won't launch
TLauncher modpacks are often assembled by hand, with mods of different versions. If a transferred modpack crashes — click “Repair modpack” and follow the steps from the article The game crashes or shows a black screen — what to do.
