Minecraft versions and loaders on mobile
Which game versions mobile Millida Launcher runs, which mod loaders are available, and what is needed for Minecraft 26.3.
Updated October 13, 2026
The mobile launcher installs Minecraft Java Edition — the same game as on a computer. You choose the version and mod loader when creating a modpack: the “Play” tab → “New modpack”.
Which game versions you can choose
The “GAME VERSION” list contains Minecraft releases, and with the “Snapshots and old versions” toggle, snapshots and old versions as well. It’s easier to find the version you need using the “Find version” field.
For some versions, the launcher shows a warning:
- “Old version: may not launch” — versions before 1.13. They need an old Java and an old window library, and they don’t always work on a phone.
- “The image may tear” — versions newer than 1.21.4. In them, the game renders the image in a new way, and artifacts are possible on some phones. What to do about this is described in the article Black screen, crashes, and artifacts.
Does Minecraft 26.3 launch
Yes, if the phone has Android 11 or newer. On Android 10 and older, Minecraft 26.3 and newer versions don’t launch: the system doesn’t let the game load its libraries. On such a phone, versions up to 1.21.11 run.
Which mod loaders are available
In the “MOD LOADER” block, vanilla, Fabric, Quilt, Forge, and NeoForge are available. You can’t select a loader that doesn’t exist for the chosen version:
- Fabric and Quilt — starting with Minecraft 1.14;
- NeoForge — starting with 1.20.1;
- Forge — starting with 1.13. For versions before 1.13, the launcher says “Forge before 1.13 is not supported”.
You don’t need to download the Forge or NeoForge installer separately: the launcher goes through its steps itself when creating a modpack.
How to move a modpack to another version
Open the modpack → “Settings” → “MOVE TO ANOTHER VERSION”. Specify the game version and loader, click “Calculate” — the launcher will show how many mods will transfer and for which versions none were found. The “Move” button builds a copy; the original modpack doesn’t change.
Can you play modpacks from the catalog
Yes. The “Catalog” has a “Modpacks” section: ready-made modpacks for Fabric, Quilt, Forge, and NeoForge, each installs as a separate modpack. .mrpack files and modpack zips are installed in “More” → “Modpack codes” → “Install from file”.
Some modpacks are made only for computers: with their own launch method, with PC libraries, or too heavy for a phone’s memory. The launcher doesn’t install such a modpack and immediately states the reason — you play it through Millida Launcher on a computer.
