We have changed our name from redirector to redirector, because the redirection targets are not only about directions but all enum values now.
Preface
In the well-known optimization mods for Minecraft, Sodium, Lithium or Phosphor, there is a common optimization concept: replacing references to element values in enum classes with static final field values references.
This technique aims to enhance performance by improving access speed and reducing unnecessary computations when frequently accessing the constants.
Introduction
Redirector is the complete implementation of this concept to reduce the required memory of the game.
Note
Redirector should work on both the client and server and can be installed on servers without requiring clients to also have the mod.
It's recommended to use forge as the forge version of Redirector is much more compatible than the fabric version (whose update is on hold).

Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.16.5–1.20.1 on Fabric, Forge or Quilt automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric, Forge or Quilt
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.20.1. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file redirector-1.20.1-4.4.0-fabric.jar (139 KB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Redirector [Modern] should be in the list.
Minecraft 1.20.1 runs on Java 17: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.
