MinecraftCapes is a client side mod which allows you to wear any cape you wish in-game, cost free. Getting our mod working correctly is easy, just follow the steps below.
We have over 1,400,000+ users enjoying their free capes. You can upload any cape you like, or make your own!
When you install the mod, you can also see anyone elses capes, no server mod or plugins required!
Don't bother paying for capes or "cloaks" from clients or other services which exploit children, instead use our mod and have any cape you want FOR FREE!

Why do I need to use the website?
To upload and manage your capes/ears, we need a way to verify that you actually own the Minecraft account you're linking. This prevents other players from uploading capes/ears to accounts they don't own.
Choose how you verify:
- Use our in-game verification server or official Microsoft OAuth.
- We never asks for your account password.
- In-game verification doesn't require any Microsoft sign-in at all.
- Our Microsoft OAuth application is approved by Mojang/Microsoft before it can access Minecraft account information.
- The mod is fully open source.

With Millida Launcher
Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.8.9–26.3 on Fabric, Forge or NeoForge automatically, together with its dependencies: Fabric API.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric, Forge or NeoForge
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 26.3. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file MinecraftCapes Forge 26.3-1.1.0.jar (109 KB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it. Required dependencies go there too: Fabric API.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: MinecraftCapes should be in the list.
MinecraftCapes works on the player’s side only: there is no need to install it on a server.

There are files for 1.8.9–26.3, 8 versions in total. The newest is 26.3.
Is MinecraftCapes for Forge or Fabric?
There are files for Fabric: 1.20.2–26.3, for Forge: 1.12.2–26.3 and for NeoForge: 1.20.3–26.3.
What does MinecraftCapes need to work?
Required: Fabric API. Without it the mod will not start: dependencies go into the same mods folder.
