This is a Forge port of the Eating Animations mod, providing all of its features along with the option of rendering the eating animation in the inventory as well! (the option in configurable, in the eatinganimation-client.toml config)
The model overrides for the eating progress are global, and such, you can add eating animations to any; item from any mod. Take a look at the models we provide for reference.
All of the assets included in this mod are the original Fabric ones, which are licensed under the MIT License.

With Millida Launcher
Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.18.1–1.21 on Forge or NeoForge automatically, together with its dependencies: GroovyModLoader (GML).
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Forge or NeoForge
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.21. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file eatinganimation-1.21.0-6.0.1.jar (283 KB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it. Required dependencies go there too: GroovyModLoader (GML).
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Eating Animations should be in the list.
Eating Animations works on the player’s side only: there is no need to install it on a server.
Minecraft 1.21 runs on Java 21: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.

There are files for 1.21, 1.20.1, 1.20, 1.19, 1.18.2, 1.18.1. The newest is 1.21.
Is Eating Animations for Forge or Fabric?
There are files for Forge: 1.18.1–1.20.1 and for NeoForge: 1.21. There are no files for Fabric: a mod for another loader will not start.
What does Eating Animations need to work?
Required: GroovyModLoader (GML). Without it the mod will not start: dependencies go into the same mods folder.
Do I need to install Eating Animations on a server?
No. Eating Animations works on the player’s side only: there is no need to install it on a server.
