功能
燃烧的骷髅射出燃烧的箭

用打火石攻击生物会对该生物造成少量燃烧伤害。这会像其他武器一样对物品造成一点耐久度损耗。（默认3点火焰伤害）
抗火效果扑灭火焰
此功能会在玩家拥有抗火效果时清除玩家的燃烧计时器。这修复了一个烦人的问题：即使你拥有抗火效果，燃烧计时器仍会增加。例如，在熔岩中游泳时，无论是否拥有抗火效果，燃烧计时器仍会增加，导致离开熔岩后火焰动画还会播放很长时间。
修复火焰伤害不总是掉落熟食的问题
此功能修复了战利品表检查生物是否着火时的不一致问题。在原版中，一些生物着火时会掉落不同的物品。例如，鸡如果被火焰伤害杀死，会掉落熟鸡肉而不是生鸡肉。原版机制只检查“持续伤害”类型的火焰伤害，而不检查瞬间火焰伤害。这导致了许多边缘情况，例如原版的营火方块和其他模组中的各种火焰机制不会让生物掉落正确的物品。此功能修复了这些边缘情况。
火焰伤害会传播
当任何着火的生物空手攻击另一个生物时，被攻击的生物也有小几率着火。此功能基于原版机制：僵尸空手攻击目标时可以将火传播给目标。此功能将原版特性扩展到了所有生物。（默认传播几率为30%）

Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.7.10–1.20.1 on Forge or NeoForge automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Forge or NeoForge
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.20.1. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file BetterBurning-Forge-1.20.1-9.0.3.jar (13 KB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Better Burning should be in the list.
Minecraft 1.20.1 runs on Java 17: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.

There are files for 1.20.1, 1.18.2, 1.7.10. The newest is 1.20.1.
Is Better Burning for Forge or Fabric?
There are files for Forge: 1.18.2–1.20.1 and for NeoForge: 1.20.1. There are no files for Fabric: a mod for another loader will not start.
Does Better Burning need other mods?
The author lists no required dependencies: the Forge or NeoForge loader is enough.
Which Java does Better Burning need?
Minecraft 1.20.1 runs on Java 17. If the game closes right after launch, the usual cause is the wrong Java version in the profile settings.
