Sodium Extras añade muchas funciones a Sodium (y Embeddium en versiones anteriores) para mejorar la experiencia y el rendimiento.
Sodium/Embeddium Dynamic Lights se distribuye como un mod separado, para poder cargarse sin tener Sodium instalado.
Funciones
- Entity Culling. Mejora el rendimiento en modpacks drásticamente al no renderizar entidades lejanas. Incluye un valor Y configurable para que puedas desactivar el renderizado de mobs en cuevas mientras estás en la superficie. Se puede configurar o desactivar. Incompatible con Out Of Sight, porque ese mod hace lo mismo y además no es compatible con Sodium.
- Better FPS Counter. Se ve mejor y se puede personalizar para mostrar los frametimes mínimos (útil para depurar el lag en tick) y los frametimes promedio de los últimos 15 segundos (para benchmarks precisos)
- Borderless Fullscreen. El modo predeterminado de Minecraft dificulta salir a otra ventana. Está desactivado por defecto, pero reemplaza la opción de pantalla completa de Sodium vanilla.
- True Darkness. Tiene opciones para hacer que la noche y las cuevas sean oscuras de forma realista. Se puede configurar o desactivar.
- Fog Toggle. Una opción para desactivar toda la niebla, que falta en Sodium vanilla.
- Font Shadow Toggle. Una opción para desactivar todas las sombras de fuente, lo que acelera el renderizado de texto.
- Configurable Cloud Height. Las nubes vanilla están bastante bajas, y no hay otro mod para elevarlas en Forge. Este mod las establece por defecto un poco más altas.
- Integration With Sodium/Embeddium Dynamic Lights. Este mod funciona perfectamente con MDL, y mejora su rendimiento drásticamente con sus optimizaciones. Si tienes MDL, querrás instalar este mod.
Nota: este mod solía incluir una función de Zoom en versiones anteriores, pero se ha eliminado ya que ahora hay muchos mods de zoom diferentes entre los que elegir.
En 1.16.5: Chunk Fade In. Un port de "Fade In Chunks" de Fabric, aplica el efecto de Bedrock para reducir el efecto de aparición repentina de los chunks recién cargados, ya sea cuando entras al juego, cambias de mundo o simplemente estás volando. Se puede configurar o desactivar.

The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.21.4. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.

Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Sodium/Embeddium Extras should be in the list.
Minecraft 1.21.4 runs on Java 21: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.
