OptiFineWarmToon: warm, cartoon-style shaders
Minecraft as it looks in the trailers: soft sunlight, rich warm colors and a cozy, hand-painted feel. Works with OptiFine and Iris.
What you get
- Cartoon lighting. Soft stepped shading, golden sunlight and gentle lilac shadows during the day.
- Soft, pleasant shadows. Smooth edges instead of harsh pixels.
- A sun that feels alive. A stylized sun with little rays, light shafts through the trees and lens flares when you look at it.
- Colorful skies. A blue sky melting into a peachy horizon, with warm pink and orange sunsets and deep violet nights.
- Fog with personality. Every biome gets its own fog color. Snowy lands feel icy, deserts glow orange, jungles turn lime green, cherry groves go pink, and the Nether and the End have their own moods.
- Beautiful water. Reflections of the sky, the sun and the world around it, cute pixel sparkles along the sun's path, foam on the shore and deeper, richer color in the depths.
- Swaying grass and leaves that react to the weather.
- Cozy details. Warm torch light, soft clouds and an optional glow around bright spots.
Quality presets
Pick what prefar: Potato, Low, Medium, High or Max. Everything can also be tweaked by hand: shadow quality, toon strength, color saturation, sun size, lens flares, water reflections, fog and more.
Other
Regarding the pack's design:
- The pack is written using an older shader format (GLSL 1.20) that is compatible with both OptiFine and Iris. Therefore, it is not tied to a specific game version.
- Iris: I found builds for versions 26.1 and 26.2 (July 2026), for 1.21.x, and for older versions (including 1.16.5). I have no information regarding version 26.3.
- OptiFine: I found no confirmation of a release for 26.x, so use Iris for 26.x.
Theoretically compatible with: versions 1.16.5 through 26.2 via Iris, and 1.16.5 through 1.21.x via OptiFine.

Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the shaders for Minecraft 1.16.5–26.3 automatically, together with its dependencies: Dependency, Iris Shaders.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Iris or OptiFine
Without a shader mod the game cannot see shaders. Install it for the same Minecraft version.
Download the shader archive
Pick the file WarmToon-Sulkan.zip (8 KB) and do not unpack it.
Put it in the shaderpacks folder
“Options”, then “Video Settings”, then “Shader Packs”, then “Open Shader Pack Folder”, and drag the archive there.
Select the shaders
In the same window, click the pack name and “Apply”.
