OptiFineThis shader is at its EOL, and will not be updated or supported.
Iris and Optifine, as well Sodium and Minecraft as they update have made a multitude of changes to rendering since the last version this shader was written in (Minecraft 1.18.2), and as such things are bound to break.
With all default settings, the shader does work up to Minecraft 1.21.1, Iris 1.8.5, and Sodium 0.6.8. However turning off waving liquids will cause the shader to not work in non-overworld dimensions from at least Minecraft 1.19.4, Iris 1.5.2, and Sodium 0.4.10, with a high likelihood of earlier versions.
This simple, vanilla-like shader adds:
- Shadows & Softer bluer lighting
- Water that waves, lava does the same too!
- Shadow strength depending on the time
- Nether & End support for shadows

Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the shaders for Minecraft 1.8–1.21.4 automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Iris or OptiFine
Without a shader mod the game cannot see shaders. Install it for the same Minecraft version.
Download the shader archive
Pick the file Stereo's_Default+_v2.4.zip (27 KB) and do not unpack it.
Put it in the shaderpacks folder
“Options”, then “Video Settings”, then “Shader Packs”, then “Open Shader Pack Folder”, and drag the archive there.
Select the shaders
In the same window, click the pack name and “Apply”.
