Bedrock, Java and which one to host
For Minecraft server hosting on Bedrock, pick the Bedrock core. To let phone players join a shared Java server, add Geyser and Floodgate in one click, and the server gives them a separate address.

Minecraft exists in two editions. Java is the PC version with mods and most plugins. Bedrock runs on phones, tablets, consoles and Windows. The two use different network protocols, so players cannot join each other directly.
That gives you two setups. If everyone plays on Bedrock, run a Bedrock server, which sits in the core list of the panel beside Vanilla, Paper and Fabric. If some friends use PC and some use phones, keep a Java server and add Geyser with Floodgate, which translate Bedrock connections so everybody shares one world.
One honest limit: Forge and Fabric mods do not reach Bedrock players, because modded packs live only in Java Edition. Paper plugins work, and mobile players see them. The free plan does not split versions and has the same limits for both.
How to join from a phone
Open the Servers tab in the mobile game, tap Add Server and enter the address and port from the panel. With Geyser the port differs from the main one, and you can see it in the server settings. If the address is rejected, check the port and the game version first.
Why a server on the phone itself does not work
Server apps for Android exist, but the phone sleeps, drops the network when Wi‑Fi changes and runs out of battery within hours. When people say a server for a phone, they usually mean a server the phone connects to, and that belongs on a host.
عمومی سوالات
Can PC and phone players join the same Minecraft server?
Yes, through Geyser with Floodgate on a Java server. Both install in one click from the panel. The server then gives mobile players a separate address, and everyone ends up in the same world.
Do mods work on a Bedrock server?
No. Forge, Fabric and NeoForge exist only in Java Edition. Bedrock has add‑ons and behavior packs, which are a different system, and they do not install on a Java server.
Can I host a Bedrock server for free?
Yes. The free plan does not separate versions: 2 GB of memory, up to 10 players, and sleep after five minutes without players. The limits are the same as for Java, and no card is needed.
Can console players join too?
Console versions are Bedrock, but connecting to a third-party server is restricted by the platform and usually needs DNS workarounds. Phones and tablets connect normally.
