MobCapture Capture & Release Mobs
MobCapture is a small add-on that lets you capture mobs into a portable item and release them later. It is simple to use and craftable with common materials.
How to capture
- Hold a Capture Orb in your hand.
- Throw it at a mob (use / right-click / tap). If the capture succeeds the mob is removed and you will receive a Release Orb.
How to release
- Select the Release Orb in your hotbar.
- Use it (press use / right-click / tap). The stored mob will spawn near you with a short particle effect.
Crafting
Place 1 Ender Pearl in the center of the crafting grid and surround it with 8 Glass. The recipe produces 4 Capture Orbs.

Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.20.1–1.21.5 on Fabric, Forge or Quilt automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric, Forge or Quilt
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.21.5. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file mobcapture-1.0.0 (1).jar (35 KB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Mob Capture should be in the list.
Minecraft 1.21.5 runs on Java 21: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.
