Datapack používa vlastné nástroje hry: mení recepty, loot, štruktúry a pokroky. Mod mení kód hry a dokáže pridať niečo naozaj nové — blok, moba, rozhranie. Datapack na fungovanie nepotrebuje loader.
Ako nainštalujem datapack?
Klikni na „Install“ a Millida Launcher pridá datapack do sveta, ktorý si vyberieš. Ak to chceš ručne, vlož archív do priečinka datapacks vnútri priečinka sveta a znovu sa pripoj k svetu.
Funguje datapack na serveri?
Áno, na bežnom serveri bez modov: priečinok datapacks sa nachádza vo svetovom priečinku servera. Hráči si na klientoch nemusia nič inštalovať.

Minecraft datapacky
Datapack mení pravidlá hry bez toho, aby sa dotkol jej kódu: craftingové recepty, loot tabuľky, štruktúry sveta, pokroky, príkazové funkcie. Hra to všetko natívne podporuje od 1.13, takže datapack nepotrebuje ani Forge, ani Fabric — inštaluje sa do konkrétneho sveta a funguje na vanilla klientovi aj na bežnom serveri.
Data packy robia rôzne veci: niektoré menia generovanie sveta — biómy, terén a štruktúry, iné pridávajú mechaniky, výzvy a hororové udalosti a ďalšie sú robené pre servery — ekonomika, hodnosti, minihry na príkazoch. To je hlavný rozdiel od modov: datapack sa nezobrazuje v zozname modov a nedokáže pridať nič, čo hra vôbec nemá — nový blok s vlastným modelom takto neurobíš. Na druhej strane sa nebije s inými packami, nepotrebuje aktualizáciu pri zmene loaderov a nebráni ti hrať s priateľmi na bežnom serveri.
