Acerca del mod Icarus

Icarus is a small mod that adds a variety of colourful and unique wings that can be worn in the Back (Curios) or Cape (Trinkets) slot.

The wings only have two drawbacks: they cost hunger while flying, and their max speed gets slowed down when wearing armour. The more armour you're wearing, the more you get slowed down, up to 2/3 of your normal max speed (configurable). There is also a tag that can have wings added to it via a datapack so that they don't use up hunger while flying.

Cómo instalar Icarus

With Millida Launcher

  1. Install Millida Launcher

The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.

  2. Click “Install” on this page

The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.16.4–1.21.1 on Fabric, NeoForge or Quilt automatically, together with its dependencies: Caelus API, Trinkets, Common Network, Resourceful Config, Fabric API.

  3. Launch the game

A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.

Manually

  1. Install Fabric, NeoForge or Quilt

The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.21.1. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.

  2. Download the file for your version

In the version list above, pick the file Icarus-Fabric-4.7.9.jar (470 KB) for your game version and loader.

  3. Put it in the mods folder

The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it. Required dependencies go there too: Caelus API, Trinkets, Common Network, Resourceful Config, Fabric API.

  4. Launch the loader profile

Open “Mods” in the main menu: Icarus should be in the list.

On a server

  1. A server on Fabric, NeoForge or Quilt

The mod only works on a server with the same loader and game version, for example 1.21.1.

  2. File goes into the server’s mods folder

Stop the server, put the mod file into the mods folder and start the server again.

  3. Or use the “To hosting” button

On Millida Hosting, the button at the top of the page uploads the file to your server and restarts it for you.

Minecraft 1.21.1 runs on Java 21: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.

FAQ

Which Minecraft versions does Icarus work on?

There are files for 1.21.1, 1.16.5, 1.16.4. The newest is 1.21.1.

Is Icarus for Forge or Fabric?

There are files for Fabric: 1.16.4–1.21.1, for NeoForge: 1.21.1 and for Quilt: 1.21.1. There are no files for Forge: a mod for another loader will not start.

What does Icarus need to work?

Required: Caelus API, Trinkets, Common Network, Resourceful Config, Fabric API, Dependency and 1 more. Without them the mod will not start: dependencies go into the same mods folder. Optional: Figura.

Does Icarus work on a server?

Yes. Icarus works both in singleplayer and on a server.

Which Java does Icarus need?

Minecraft 1.21.1 runs on Java 21. If the game closes right after launch, the usual cause is the wrong Java version in the profile settings.

How do I download Icarus?

With Millida Launcher: it installs Icarus into a modpack by itself, for the right game version and loader. The launcher is free.
