Acerca del mod GoProne

Just adds a keybind (default "C") which sets the player to the crawling pose, allowing them to sneak through 1-block high gaps, without needing to squash something on top of them.

Also adds a second keybind (not bound to anything by default) which allows you to toggle being prone.

Has server side config options to allow/deny players going prone in certain scenarios (can be found in <world save>/serverconfig/goprone-server.toml).

Config defaults to:

  • Allow jumping while prone
  • Allow during flight (player not on ground).
  • Deny while riding another entity (horse, pig, minecart, boat etc.).
  • From v2.0.0 the exceptions are handled by adding entities to the #goprone:blacklisted_entities or #goprone:whitelisted_entities (depending on whether or not it is enabled for entities in the config file.
  • Between v1.2 and v1.7 the exceptions were handled with an exceptions list inside the config file. Any entities listed by their registry name (e.g. "minecraft:boat") will invert the general rule.

Requires Forge. (Fabric version here, Maintained by VidTu with my permission)

Needs to be installed on the server (although if it isn't you can still join the server, the mod just won't do anything)!

Not required on the client (Although clients without it will not be able to go prone as they won't have the keybind).

You may use this mod in modpacks and/or videos without asking permission.

Thanks to hairyballbastic for the new logo.

Cómo instalar GoProne

With Millida Launcher

  1. Install Millida Launcher

The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.

  2. Click “Install” on this page

The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.17.1–1.20.1 on Forge automatically.

  3. Launch the game

A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.

Manually

  1. Install Forge

The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.20.1. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.

  2. Download the file for your version

In the version list above, pick the file GoProne-forge-1.20.1-3.1.1.jar (223 KB) for your game version.

  3. Put it in the mods folder

The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.

  4. Launch the loader profile

Open “Mods” in the main menu: GoProne should be in the list.

Minecraft 1.20.1 runs on Java 17: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.

FAQ

Which Minecraft versions does GoProne work on?

There are files for 1.20.1, 1.19.4, 1.17.1. The newest is 1.20.1.

Is GoProne for Forge or Fabric?

Only for Forge: 1.19.4–1.20.1. There are no files for Fabric or NeoForge: a mod for another loader will not start.

Does GoProne need other mods?

The author lists no required dependencies: the Forge loader is enough.

Which Java does GoProne need?

Minecraft 1.20.1 runs on Java 17. If the game closes right after launch, the usual cause is the wrong Java version in the profile settings.
