Command Config Lib

Lightweight command-based config library.

Why commands?

Commands are rarely affected by Minecraft updates, making this library compatible with most versions, including snapshots. For example, it can be used for:

  • Quick in-game config, as it doesn't require opening another GUI.
  • Server-side config. GUI functionality is limited for server mods, which leaves commands as a config option.
  • Snapshot mod support. Other libraries mostly focus on full Minecraft releases, however this one is designed to be easy to port.
  • Multi-version mods. Other libraries may not be available for old versions or have different API for them.

Note that this library doesn't aim to replace supported GUI config for your mod, but rather provide a robust alternative.

How do I use this?

Cómo instalar Command Config Lib

With Millida Launcher

  1. Install Millida Launcher

The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.

  2. Click “Install” on this page

The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.16–1.20.1 on Fabric or Quilt automatically, together with its dependencies: Fabric API.

  3. Launch the game

A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.

Manually

  1. Install Fabric or Quilt

The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.20.1. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.

  2. Download the file for your version

In the version list above, pick the file command-config-0.1.0-beta.4+1.20.jar (56 KB) for your game version and loader.

  3. Put it in the mods folder

The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it. Required dependencies go there too: Fabric API.

  4. Launch the loader profile

Open “Mods” in the main menu: Command Config Lib should be in the list.

On a server

  1. A server on Fabric or Quilt

The mod only works on a server with the same loader and game version, for example 1.20.1.

  2. File goes into the server’s mods folder

Stop the server, put the mod file into the mods folder and start the server again.

  3. Use the “To server” button

On Millida Hosting, the button at the top of the page uploads the file to your server and restarts it for you.

Minecraft 1.20.1 runs on Java 17: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.
