🛠️ Troubleshooting (macOS 14.0+)
If you are using macOS Sonoma or later versions, you may experience the following issue:
- Some characters are skipped when typing very quickly.
- The client crashes when a system key is pressed (e.g., input source switch).
Most of the causes are due to the Input Tooltip added in Sonoma. However, Apple has not provided an API to disable it.
You can disable the Input Tooltip system-wide through the following guide.
Open the Terminal and enter the following command:
sudo mkdir -p /Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain sudo /usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "Add 'redesigned_text_cursor:Enabled' bool false" /Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/UIKit.plist
And then, reboot your Macintosh. This will return you to the input environment from before Sonoma.

With Millida Launcher
Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.21.6–1.21.11 on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge or Quilt automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric, Forge, NeoForge or Quilt
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.21.11. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file caramelChat-mc1.21.11-neoforge-1.2.2.jar (158 KB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: caramelChat should be in the list.
caramelChat works on the player’s side only: there is no need to install it on a server.
Minecraft 1.21.11 runs on Java 21: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.
