Camera Utils is a client side Fabric mod that adds convenient features related to the players camera.

Dynamic Zoom
By default the zoom key is bound to Z. Holding the zoom key and scrolling dynamically adjusts the zoom value.
Camera Detaching
By hitting the detach camera button, the players camera is locked to the current position. You can still control the player like before, just from another point of view. By pressing RIGHT ALT in combination with the detach camera key, the camera goes back to the position, the camera was last detached.
Adjustable Third Person Distance
When holding the third person distance modifier in third person, you are able to scroll out up to 100 blocks away from the player.
Customizable Third Person Perspectives
This mod allows for two custom third person perspectives. These are bound to F6 and F7 by default. These can be modified by pressing RIGHT ALT and F6 or F7 respectively.
Advanced Cinematic Camera Controls
By pressing RIGHT ALT and the cinematic camera button, you can adjust the properties of the cinematic camera.
Additional Information
Pressing any key related to the camera utils mod in combination with RIGHT ALT will open a settings GUI which allows you to change properties or to reset them back to their default values.
Note that this mod is not compatible with OptiFine.

With Millida Launcher
Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.20.2–26.3 on Fabric or Quilt automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric or Quilt
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 26.3. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file camerautils-fabric-1.1.2+26.3.jar (350 KB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Camera Utils should be in the list.

There are files for 26.3, 1.20.4, 1.20.2. The newest is 26.3.
Is Camera Utils for Forge or Fabric?
There are files for Fabric: 1.20.2–26.3 and for Quilt: 1.20.4–26.3. There are no files for Forge or NeoForge: a mod for another loader will not start.
Does Camera Utils need other mods?
The author lists no required dependencies: the Fabric or Quilt loader is enough.
