Minecraft heads

A catalog of 1275 decorative Minecraft heads across 14 categories — animals, monsters, food, blocks, humanoids, holidays and more. Pick any head and we show the ready /give command to get it — for 1.21, 1.16.5, 1.13 and 1.8–1.12. Copy it and paste it into chat on your server with operator rights. Heads can be browsed by category and by color: for interiors, letter signs, cafes, gardens, farms and dungeons. The “by nickname” block above the list gives you the head of any player or YouTuber.

To get a head, pick it in the list, set your game version in the Game version filter and copy the /give command. Paste it into chat on a server where you are an operator, or in singleplayer with cheats, and the head appears in your inventory ready to place as a block.

The by‑username block gives you the head of any player or YouTuber: enter a name and you get commands for every version. The head uses the player's current skin, so it updates when they change it.

FAQ

How do I get a custom head in Minecraft?

Pick a head in the catalog and copy the /give command — paste it into chat on a server where you have operator rights (/op). The head appears in your inventory. In singleplayer creative mode the commands also work if cheats are enabled.

Why doesn't the head command work?

It is almost always the version. In 1.20.5–1.21 a head is given with the profile component, in 1.16–1.20.4 with the NBT SkullOwner where the UUID is written as an array of numbers [I;…], in 1.13–1.15 with the same SkullOwner but a string UUID, and in 1.8–1.12 the item is called skull with damage 3. Pick your version in the “Game version” filter — the commands in the list will rebuild. You also need permission to use /give.

How do I give the head of any player or YouTuber?

Enter a nickname in the “Player head by nickname” block above the list — commands for all versions will appear. The head uses the player's current skin: if they change it, the head in the world updates too. It works with any licensed nickname, including YouTubers' nicknames.

Which heads work for decor?

For interiors — the “Decor” section (furniture, dishes, lamps), for cafes and shops — “Food”, for gardens — “Plants”, for lettering and signs — “Letters”. You can also pick by color: the “Color” filter matches heads to your build's palette.

How do I place a head in Minecraft 1.16.5?

Choose 1.16–1.20.4 in the “Game version” filter and copy the command of the head you need. For 1.16.5 the UUID in the command is written as an array of numbers — old commands with a string UUID give a head without a texture.

How do I place a head as decor?

Once you have the head from a command, just place it as a block — on a floor, wall or fence. Heads look great in themed builds, on farms and as decorations.

Where do the heads come from?

The heads come from a public community database of custom heads. Each one contains a texture and a ready give command. They work on Java servers (Spigot/Paper/vanilla) of the right version.
