Croptopia adds

Croptopia also contains a guide book to help you craft all the recipes if you don't want to install JEI/REI. if you want to use the guide book you will need to install the Patchouli (Fabric) or Patchouli (Forge) mod. The book can be crafted with 3 crops from croptopia and a vanilla book.
There are various methods to collect crops depending on the version of the mod you are using.
(1.16 and 1.17) Seeds for crops can be obtained by breaking tall grass and ferns in biomes categorized as plains, swamp, savannah, forest, and taiga. Depending on configuration settings you may or may not need to use a hoe.
(1.18+) In any version 1.18 and above you can obtain crops by breaking them in the wild and you can no longer get them by breaking grass.
Crops can be collected by right clicking the fully grown crop and the same applies for fruits on trees.
To collect saplings, harvest two tree fruits and a sapling and then craft them together to make a fruit sapling.
NEW IN 4.2.0+ (1.21.1 Neo Forge)
Want to harvest crop leaves? Now you can! Take shears on tree crops you find in the wild, wait for them to grow to the stage you want to harvest them at, then shear them off the tree! They will not grow any further, and if you take a fully grown one, you will not be able to harvest them.

With Millida Launcher
Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.16.4–26.1.2 on Fabric, Forge or NeoForge automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric, Forge or NeoForge
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 26.1.2. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file croptopia-neoforge-26.1.2-4.3.2.jar (2.4 MB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Croptopia should be in the list.
