Better Clouds adds volumetric clouds to Minecraft, in a simple, blocky style that matches the rest of the game.
Often, shaders and resource packs add hyper-realistic clouds to the game, which look good but don't match with Minecraft's style. This mod aims to fix that, adding volumetric, multi-layered clouds that don't clash with the style of Minecraft.

Restrictions on Name and Logo use
I do not grant permission for the use of the name "Better Clouds" or its logo for publication of derivative works. Derivative works must have a clearly distinct name and logo to avoid confusion with the official "Better Clouds".
Examples
- "Better Clouds Forge", is too similar and can be confused as an official publication for Forge.
- "Better Clouds Reforged", this is fine, as "Reforged" is a common term for unofficial ports to Forge.
- "Better Clouds (Unofficial)", if this is where your imagination ends, this is also fine.

With Millida Launcher
Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.20.6–26.3 on Fabric or NeoForge automatically, together with its dependencies: YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL), Fabric API.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric or NeoForge
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 26.3. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file better-clouds-1.15.0-beta.8+26.3-fabric.jar (1.4 MB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it. Required dependencies go there too: YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL), Fabric API.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Better Clouds should be in the list.
Better Clouds works on the player’s side only: there is no need to install it on a server.

Which Minecraft versions does Better Clouds work on?
There are files for 26.3, 1.21.11, 1.21.1, 1.21, 1.20.6. The newest is 26.3.
Is Better Clouds for Forge or Fabric?
There are files for Fabric: 1.20.6–26.3 and for NeoForge: 1.20.6–26.3. There are no files for Forge: a mod for another loader will not start.
What does Better Clouds need to work?
Required: YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL), Fabric API. Without them the mod will not start: dependencies go into the same mods folder. Optional: Sodium, Iris Shaders, Mod Menu.
What is Better Clouds incompatible with?
The author marks it as incompatible with Dependency: they will not run together.
Do I need to install Better Clouds on a server?
No. Better Clouds works on the player’s side only: there is no need to install it on a server.
