Minecraft Foregoing is a modpack in Minecraft 12.2 which does not include most of the "mainstream" mods. It wants you to play with every mod in this modpack by linking the mods in a progression line together.
You will be lead by the questbook and you will have optional paths to play through the pack.
Why I created this modpack:
In the past I played a lot of all purpose modpacks with 200+ mods like Modern Skyblock 2, FTB Beyond, FTB Infinity and so on. But with Minecraft 12 there are a lot of new mods that you don't even use in new big modpacks like All the mods 3. So my goal was to include mainly mods that I haven't played through yet. To complete this to an enjoyable pack I did add some basic mods like tc and immersive engineering and some end game mods like draconic evolution and mystical agriculture.
The second thought for this modpack was to bind together many of the mods. I played a lot of Modern Skyblock 2 where you have to always switch to different mods to achieve a goal in another mod and I liked that a lot.

Server Files:
There is an official server where you are welcome to play on. However if you want to make your own server, you can find a download for server files on every update after version 0.10. To create a server run the forge[...].jar.

With Millida Launcher
Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the modpack for Minecraft 1.12.2 automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Download the modpack archive
In the version list above, pick the file foregoing-0.12.1.2-HOTFIX.zip (2.4 MB).
Import it into a launcher
A launcher that supports modpacks (Millida Launcher, Prism) takes the archive via “Add modpack”, then “From file”. No need to unpack it yourself.
Allocate memory
Modpacks need more memory than the plain game: set 4–6 GB in the profile settings.
On a server
Use the “To server” button
On Millida Hosting, the button at the top of the page uploads the file to your server and restarts it for you.
Invite friends: they install the same modpack
To join the server, every player needs the same modpack version.
Minecraft 1.12.2 runs on Java 8: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.

Only Minecraft 1.12.2: there are no files for other versions.
Which Java does Foregoing need?
Minecraft 1.12.2 runs on Java 8. If the game closes right after launch, the usual cause is the wrong Java version in the profile settings.
