Alright guys, about the ban on pizzas in school cafeterias — I'm all for this ban and consider it the only positive thing in recent years, let me explain why. First of all, the quality of food in school cafeterias is almost always at the lowest possible level, and the pizzas are crap made from leftovers of what wasn't finished, stuffed with onions — at least that's how I remember them. Against the backdrop of the rest of the food they might have seemed more edible, but taste-wise it was a vomit-like mush covered in cheese and just a shitload of onions. Second — I think we need to go further and abolish budget cafeterias altogether. Remember for yourselves these cooks who are unhappy with their work and pay, who brew 2 tea bags in a 45-liter pot of tea, borscht/soups without meat, and on special days cutlets with more bread than meat — that's not food, that's torture by shit, you had to eat it just to fill your stomach with calories. By removing them entirely, everyone wins: the administration will have to spend less on maintaining the cafeteria, the premises can be given to a private owner and a paid food court organized (or a decent buffet), and the kids won't be poisoned by this slop. P.S. I remember how an inspection was set loose on the cafeteria, and all the cooks immediately dressed up, baked a shitload of everything, and made genuinely good grub. For about a week the cafeteria became what it's supposed to be on paper, then everything rolled back to "we can, but why bother."
