This tiny clientside mod will rotate any falling blocks like sand or anvils towards the direction they're moving, with the additional option of squashing and stretching them based on their speed, for maximum application of animation principles. This mod requires the Fabric API to run, click here to get it!
As the mod is entirely clientside, you can play on any server with this, and it should be compatible with practically every other fabric mod.
I will not be adding a feature that keeps upside down / rotated blocks in that orientation on landing. Implementing that without synchronization issues would mean making this a serverside mod aswell, which is outside the scope of this project.

Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.17.1–26.3 on Fabric or Quilt automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric or Quilt
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 26.3. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file vectorientation-1.1-26.3.jar (50 KB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Vectorientation should be in the list.
