Kompatibilnost
Starlight može biti instaliran ili na dedicated serveru ili na klijentu. Nije potrebno da bude instaliran na obe strane. Ako imate Starlight na serveru, klijenti mogu da se povežu koristeći Vanilla/Phosphor/Starlight. Isto tako, ako imate Starlight na klijentu, možete se povezati na Vanilla/Phosphor/Starlight servere.
Starlight ne može biti instaliran sa Phosphor-om, oni su potpuno nekompatibilni. Pregledanje Starlight-ovog Issue Tracker-a će pokazati dalje nekompatibilnosti sa modovima. Starlight je prilično destruktivno prepisivanje svetlosnog engine-a, tako da treba očekivati da će češće kvariti modove.
Svrha
Starlight je razvijen za dedicated servere većeg obima, jer su imali probleme sa performansama zbog toga koliko je svetlosni engine bio neverovatno spor. Jedino rešenje je bilo napraviti izuzetno invazivan mod koji je prepisao ceo svetlosni engine. Portovao sam mod na fabric kako bih mogao da ga ažuriram tokom snapshot-a, i odlučio da bi objavljivanje za sve korisnike, posebno klijentske korisnike, bilo korisno. Međutim, ima nedostatak što je invazivan mod: Invazivnost nije uticala na servere većeg obima jer oni rade na Bukkit-u.

Vreme svetlosnog engine-a za generisanje chunk-ova Grafikon je uklonjen kao benchmark jer je nevažeći za 1.20. Starlight i Vanilla su dovoljno blizu na 1.20 da je i ovaj test beskorisan.

Kako instalirati Starlight (Forge)
With Millida Launcher
Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.18.2–1.20.1 on Forge automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Forge
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.20.1. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file starlight-1.1.2+forge.1cda73c.jar (108 KB) for your game version.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Starlight (Forge) should be in the list.
On a server
A server on Forge
The mod only works on a server with the same loader and game version, for example 1.20.1.
File goes into the server’s mods folder
Stop the server, put the mod file into the mods folder and start the server again.
Use the “To server” button
On Millida Hosting, the button at the top of the page uploads the file to your server and restarts it for you.
Minecraft 1.20.1 runs on Java 17: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.

Only for Forge: 1.18.2–1.20.1. There are no files for Fabric or NeoForge: a mod for another loader will not start.
