Spelunkery je mod koji menja proces rudarenja resursa u Minecraft-u. Uvodi nove faze napretka tokom rudarenja, menjajući poznati redosled materijala. Pod zemljom se pojavljuju nove zanimljive tačke: jedinstvene pećinske strukture, izmenjeni obrasci generisanja ruda, kao i novi blokovi i resursi koji se pojavljuju na različitim dubinama. To čini svaku ekspediciju u pećine raznovrsnijom i opipljivijom. Mod takođe dodaje korisne alate, kao što su ojačani krampovi i fenjeri koji rade efikasnije i drugačije izgledaju.
Radi na Fabric i Forge, obe verzije su kompatibilne sa Minecraft 1.20.1. Fajlovi nisu međusobno zamenljivi: Fabric zahteva sopstveni jar, Forge zahteva drugi. Instalacija zahteva odgovarajući loader. Mod radi i na klijentu i na serveru, obe strane moraju da ga imaju. Nema obaveznih zavisnosti, ali može se koristiti kao deo modpack-ova sa drugim modovima koji poboljšavaju generisanje sveta ili sistem izrade.
