Features are optional and can be selectively enabled via config.
- Right-click on a pet (cat, dog, horse, llama or parrot) to discover its owner
- Display an action bar message, a chat message or a temporary hologram above the pet
- Give ownership of your own pets to another player
- Release your own pets back to the wild
- Set the collar color of newly tamed or bred cats and dogs
- Display the pet's health status
- Prevent owned pets from being hurt by other players
- Prevent owned pets from being leashed by other players
- Prevent owned horses and donkeys from being ridden by other players
- Manage pets of other players with petmaster.admin permission
- Optional dependence on Vault to make players pay to change ownership or release pets
- Optional support for achievements in Advanced Achievements

A server on Paper or Spigot
The plugin runs on the server core for Minecraft 1.8–1.17; players do not need to install anything.
File goes into the plugins folder
Download the file PetMaster.jar (101 KB) and put it into the server’s plugins folder.
Restart the server
On startup the plugin creates its own settings folder in plugins.
Use the “To server” button
On Millida Hosting, the button at the top of the page uploads the file to your server and restarts it for you.
Minecraft 1.17 runs on Java 16: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.

Which Minecraft versions does Pet Master work on?
There are files for 1.8–1.17, 10 versions in total. The newest is 1.17.
Do players need to install Pet Master?
No, the plugin goes only on the server, into the plugins folder: players do not need to download anything.
Which Java does Pet Master need?
Minecraft 1.17 runs on Java 16. If the game closes right after launch, the usual cause is the wrong Java version in the profile settings.
