ForgeMCEF (Minecraft Chromium Embedded Framework)
MCEF is a mod and library for adding the Chromium web browser into Minecraft. This mod does not do anything useful by itself; it is a library for other mods to use the Chromium browser.
MCEF is based on java-cef (Java Chromium Embedded Framework), which is based on CEF (Chromium Embedded Framework), which is based on Chromium. It was originally created by montoyo. It was rewritten and currently maintained by the CinemaMod Group.
MCEF contains a downloader system for downloading the java-cef & CEF binaries required by the Chromium browser. This requires a connection to https://mcef-download.cinemamod.com.

Supported Platforms
- Windows 10/11 (x86_64, arm64)*
- macOS 11 or greater (Intel, Apple Silicon)
- GNU Linux glibc 2.31 or greater (x86_64, arm64)**
*Some antivirus software may prevent MCEF from initializing. You may have to disable your antivirus or whitelist the mod files for MCEF to work properly.
**This mod will not work on Android.

MCEF is LGPL, as long as your project doesn't modify or include MCEF source code, you can choose a different license. Read the full license in the LICENSE file in this directory.

Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.19.2–1.21.4 on Fabric, Forge or NeoForge automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric, Forge or NeoForge
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.21.4. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file mcef-fabric-2.1.6-1.21.4.jar (219 KB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: MCEF (Minecraft Chromium Embedded Framework) should be in the list.
Minecraft 1.21.4 runs on Java 21: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.
