Enchantment Lore
Open enchanted books like written books to read their description and lore.
Works client-side, server-side and in single player. It needn't be installed on both client and server.
tinytransfem has also created a Forge port.
With this mod you'll be able to open and read enchanted books. For each enchantment in the book, there will be some lore and a description of how the enchantment works.
Mod integrations
Enchantments Encore adds Enchantment Lore descriptions for its enchantments as of version 2.4.
Enchantment Lore version 1.2.4+ adds descriptions for enchantments from:
• Mo'Enchantments
• Fabric Enchantments
• Charm
• Better End
• Monster of the Ocean Depths
These are from More Enchantment Descriptions (for Enchantment Lore) by TeaJ4y. The resource pack can still add these descriptions to older versions of the mod.
Lore and description entries can be added or changed using resource packs, learn how on the wiki. I've made a few very basic ones that can be found here.

Translations

This mod is only for Fabric (works on Quilt, too!) and I won't be porting it to Forge. The license is MIT, however, so anyone else is free to port it. and tinytransfem has ported it to Forge!

The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.20–26.3 on Fabric or Quilt automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric or Quilt
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 26.3. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file enchantment_lore-1.10.1+MC26.2-26.3.x.jar (1.2 MB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Enchantment Lore should be in the list.

Which Minecraft versions does Enchantment Lore work on?
There are files for 26.3, 26.2, 1.20.1, 1.20. The newest is 26.3.
Is Enchantment Lore for Forge or Fabric?
There are files for Fabric: 1.20–26.3 and for Quilt: 1.20–26.3. There are no files for Forge or NeoForge: a mod for another loader will not start.
Does Enchantment Lore need other mods?
The author lists no required dependencies: the Fabric or Quilt loader is enough.
Where can I download Enchantment Lore safely?
