Too Many Players is a rough client optimization mod to increase FPS when there are a lot of players in your field of vision.
The mod allows you to completely turn off the rendering of players, their armor, objects in their hands and bodies, except for the head. Thus, the game draws fewer elements, which allows you to increase FPS. At the same time, you can still understand who is who.
Also in the mod it is possible to enable "Hiding Areas", which allows you to apply hiding elements depending on the distance to the player.
We took inspiration from the HidePlayers mod by forking it and adding many new features.

With Millida Launcher
Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.19.3–1.21.1 on Fabric automatically, together with its dependencies: Fabric API.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.21.1. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file TooManyPlayers-1.21-1.1.5.jar (471 KB) for your game version.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it. Required dependencies go there too: Fabric API.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Too Many Players should be in the list.
Too Many Players works on the player’s side only: there is no need to install it on a server.
Minecraft 1.21.1 runs on Java 21: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.

Is Too Many Players for Forge or Fabric?
Only for Fabric: 1.19.3–1.21.1. There are no files for Forge or NeoForge: a mod for another loader will not start.
What does Too Many Players need to work?
