Saturation Test3 is an extremely lightweight and highly configurable shader pack that uses OpenGL version #120 whereas most others use #150 or higher making it simpler and more optimized.
Saturation Test3 currently includes the 7 presets listed below:
- Black and White:
Makes the game black and white, obviously.
- Horror:
Mutes the colors significantly, creating a dangerous atmosphere.
- Less Dopamine:
Slightly desaturates the game for specific situations—such as reducing screen time—since the brain is naturally less stimulated by a limited color palette.
- Subtle:
Slightly more vibrant than the default.
- Balanced:
Even more vibrant, with balanced colors.
- Exaggerated:
Pushes the saturation a bit, but remains bearable.
- Max Dopamine:
If you play with this preset, you'd better watch out.

Launch the game

Manually
Install Iris or OptiFine
Without a shader mod the game cannot see shaders. Install it for the same Minecraft version.
Download the shader archive
Pick the file SaturationTest3 V1.1.zip (356 KB) and do not unpack it.
Put it in the shaderpacks folder
“Options”, then “Video Settings”, then “Shader Packs”, then “Open Shader Pack Folder”, and drag the archive there.
Select the shaders
In the same window, click the pack name and “Apply”.
