Distinct Potions makes potions easier to recognize at a glance. 🧪 With clearer visuals, unique bottle styles, and improved naming, you can finally tell your potions apart without hovering over every single one.
Built for both vanilla and modded content, it helps brewing, storage, and inventory management feel cleaner and more intuitive. ✨
- 🏷️ Clear Potion Names: Potion names directly highlight whether they are greater, extended, or lesser.
- 🍾 Unique Potion Bottles: Greater and extended potions use distinct bottle appearances for easier visual recognition.
- 🧪 Distinct Base Potions: Awkward, mundane, and thick potions gain their own unique colors to stand apart from water bottles.
- ⚙️ Highly Configurable: Potion categories are fully customizable and support both vanilla and modded potions through flexible matching rules and tags.

If available for a mod, configuration is possible directly from in-game using the mod menu (requires Mod Menu by Prospector to be installed on Fabric).
For manual configuration using an external text editor all files are found at .minecraft/config, named as MOD_ID-client.toml, MOD_ID-common.toml, or MOD_ID-server.toml, depending on the type of config. Not all types might exist for a mod, if any at all.

Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.21.11–26.3 on Fabric or NeoForge automatically, together with its dependencies: Fabric API, Puzzles Lib, Forge Config API Port.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric or NeoForge
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 26.3. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file distinctpotions-v26.3.0-mc26.3.x+neoforge.jar (43 KB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it. Required dependencies go there too: Fabric API, Puzzles Lib, Forge Config API Port.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Distinct Potions should be in the list.
Distinct Potions works on the player’s side only: there is no need to install it on a server.

Which Minecraft versions does Distinct Potions work on?
There are files for 26.3, 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1, 1.21.11. The newest is 26.3.
Is Distinct Potions for Forge or Fabric?
There are files for Fabric: 1.21.11–26.3 and for NeoForge: 1.21.11–26.3. There are no files for Forge: a mod for another loader will not start.
What does Distinct Potions need to work?
Required: Fabric API, Puzzles Lib, Forge Config API Port. Without them the mod will not start: dependencies go into the same mods folder.
Do I need to install Distinct Potions on a server?
