About

THIS MOD DOES NOTHING ON ITS OWN! IT'S A LIBRARY THAT OTHER MODS CAN USE TO DO THINGS WITH IT!

Auudio is a library mod to easily play background sounds in menus and worlds.

It aims on being as simple as possible, while still giving many options to control the audio.

  • No need to register sound assets
  • Support for using external sounds like audio files stored on the client system (by path) or web files (by URL)
  • Change the sound volume individually, without changing the volume of the sound channel
  • Full control over starting/stopping/pausing/un-pausing the sound individually, without the need to stop or pause all sounds

Comment installer Auudio

With Millida Launcher

  1. Install Millida Launcher

The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.

  2. Click “Install” on this page

The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.16.2–1.20.4 on Fabric or Forge automatically, together with its dependencies: Fabric API.

  3. Launch the game

A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.

Manually

  1. Install Fabric or Forge

The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.20.4. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.

  2. Download the file for your version

In the version list above, pick the file auudio_fabric_1.0.3_MC_1.20.jar (39 KB) for your game version and loader.

  3. Put it in the mods folder

The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it. Required dependencies go there too: Fabric API.

  4. Launch the loader profile

Open “Mods” in the main menu: Auudio should be in the list.

Auudio works on the player’s side only: there is no need to install it on a server.

Minecraft 1.20.4 runs on Java 17: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.

There are files for 1.16.2–1.20.4, 16 versions in total. The newest is 1.20.4.

What does Auudio need to work?

Required: Fabric API. Without it the mod will not start: dependencies go into the same mods folder.

No. Auudio works on the player’s side only: there is no need to install it on a server.

Which Java does Auudio need?

Minecraft 1.20.4 runs on Java 17. If the game closes right after launch, the usual cause is the wrong Java version in the profile settings.
