I present, Overgrown
Overgrown is a MASSIVE Jungle/Rainforest themed hunger games arena (512x512) designed for 8 players (16 in a future patch). The map has a shrinking world border, center cornucopia and dozens of hidden chests with enchanted gear!
All players spawn in the center of the map at the base of a massive volcano in the middle of a giant lake. After 45 seconds, they are all released to either run for cover or loot the center cornucopia where various potions, weapons, and other items can be found.
If you have played my previous hunger games map, Crystal Avalanche, then you know I like to really focus on aesthetics as well as map design/balance. With Millida Launcher
Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the map for Minecraft 1.18.1 automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Download the map archive
Pick the file 2022-02-27_20-44-39_Rainforest PVP.zip (22 MB).
Unpack it into the saves folder
The world folder (with level.dat inside) must sit directly in .minecraft/saves.
Open the world
“Singleplayer”: the map will be in your world list.
On a server
Replace the world folder
Stop the server and put the map folder in place of world (or set its name in level-name).
Or use the “To hosting” button
On Millida Hosting, the button at the top of the page uploads the file to your server and restarts it for you.
