This pack is a test item for me to practice datapack. Because I was tired of the vanilla terrain and I always wanted an efficient realistic terrain, I started refactoring the vanilla terrain.

Epic Terrain is an experimental product for technical experimentation, so compatibility is not considered.
Currently, there are bugs in MC1.21 and above versions 1.4a~b. I have found the reason; I used minecraft:lake, but it has bugs in 1.21. Fortunately, someone has already attempted to fix it. https://modrinth.com/mod/worldgenfeaturefix
📖What's this datapack?
In the original, although the terrain of the higher version has been overhauled, it is still not spectacular enough, and it does not feel like it is surrounded by mountains.
Now, this datapack can do just that, as it rewrites the terrain for the game. You can now see the mountains in the game!

This datapack adds real plains, real alpine peaks to Minecraft.
💡Features:
- Smooth surface
- Resembles eroded terrain
- Spectacular alpine peaks
- Terrain can now generate like continental plates.
- Brand new coastlines: Can form eroded inlets, seas, straits, islands, and peninsulas.
- A new river system with large rivers and small rivers, with a drop function, and a source.
Because with reality as a reference, the map size is too large, and the ocean can have 10,000 tiles. It is recommended to use the World Preview mod for map preview
Note

- Because the biome distribution has been reset, it is almost incompatible with modules that increase biomes, and mods that modify the original version can be used
- Theoretically 1.19 should be supported, but 1.19 doesn't support custom biomes, so I shouldn't update 1.19.

Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the data pack for Minecraft 1.19.2–1.21.1 automatically, together with its dependencies: Dependency.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.

Download the archive
Pick the file epicterrain_0.1.4b_Beta_1.20.5~1.21.1.zip (140 KB) for your game version.
New world: “Data Packs”
When creating a world, click “Data Packs”, drag the archive into the window, then move it to “Selected”.
Existing world: the datapacks folder
Put the archive into saves/<world>/datapacks and type /reload in game.
On a server
Archive goes into the server world’s datapacks
The world/datapacks folder on the server; players do not need to install anything.
Reload the data
Type /reload in the server console or restart the server.
Or use the “To hosting” button
On Millida Hosting, the button at the top of the page uploads the file to your server and restarts it for you.
