Hide a player profile
No account and no Minecraft link needed. Give a username and an email — the profile is hidden at once, along with its username and skin history.
Want the opposite — to show your profile? Turn publishing on. It is off by default.
A username, a UUID and a skin are personal data. That means a person must have a simple way to take themselves off someone else’s site, and that way cannot start with creating an account there. On the sites you already know it does: hiding a profile means signing up and linking your Minecraft account — handing the service more data than it had on you. That is exactly why people resent it.
Here it works differently. A username and an email are enough. The profile is hidden immediately, before any review: erring towards hiding too much costs one page on the site, while erring the other way costs a complaint and damage to the whole domain. Hiding is not a flag but a real deletion — the username history, the skin history and the records of where the player was seen all go with the profile. Keeping the history of a hidden player would repeat the very thing Mojang shut its own name-history endpoint down for in September 2022.
The confirmation email is how we tell the owner of a username from a stranger. The link opens nothing and grants nothing — it only proves the mailbox is yours and moves the request from "under review" to "done". If someone other than the owner filed it, only a moderator can bring the page back; the person who filed it cannot.
There is an opposite action too. If you have an account with us and want your profile public, turn publishing on from the profile publishing page — it is off for everyone by default.
