LuckPerms web editor
How to edit permissions with the mouse via the LuckPerms web editor, apply changes with a command, and avoid losing edits.
Updated August 13, 2026
Typing dozens of commands is inconvenient. LuckPerms can open a web editor: you edit permissions in your browser, then apply the changes with a single command.
Download the plugin: LuckPerms in the catalog.
How to open it
lp editor
The command will give you a link. It is one-time and short-lived — do not publish it: anyone with the link gets full access to the server's permissions.
Groups only or a single user only:
lp editor groups
lp user Steve editor
What you can do
- Create groups and change inheritance with your mouse.
- Add and remove permissions as a list, including negative ones.
- Edit prefixes, suffixes, and weight.
- Copy permissions between groups.
Applying changes
At the bottom of the editor, the save button gives you a command like:
lp applyedits aBcDeF
Run it in the console — only then do the changes reach the server. A closed tab without applying = lost edits.

lp verbose on enables the permission check log: you can see which permission a plugin actually requests when a player complains that "the command doesn't work". This is the fastest way to find the exact permission name instead of guessing from the documentation.
