Overview

Tinkers' Construct is a mod about putting tools together in a wide variety of ways, then modifying them until they turn into something else. The tools never disappear and can be named and changed to your heart's desire. Once you make them, they're yours forever. Many different materials can be used to make your tools.

This mod includes many related features, including:

  • Part builders, tinker stations, and modifier workstations for building and modifying your tools
  • The melter, alloyer, smeltery, and foundry for working with molten metals
  • Slime islands generating as part of the overworld, nether, and end, granting access to 4 different slime colors
  • Slimy geodes spawning deep underground
  • Cobalt ore in the nether

To get started, craft Materials and You then follow the introduction steps. For a more detailed overview, see one of the following links:

Installation von Tinkers' Construct

With Millida Launcher

  1. Install Millida Launcher

The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.

  2. Click “Install” on this page

The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.12.2–1.20.1 on Forge or NeoForge automatically, together with its dependencies: Mantle.

  3. Launch the game

A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.

Manually

  1. Install Forge or NeoForge

The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.20.1. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.

  2. Download the file for your version

In the version list above, pick the file TConstruct-1.20.1-3.12.1.231.jar (23 MB) for your game version and loader.

  3. Put it in the mods folder

The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it. Required dependencies go there too: Mantle.

  4. Launch the loader profile

Open “Mods” in the main menu: Tinkers' Construct should be in the list.

On a server

  1. A server on Forge or NeoForge

The mod only works on a server with the same loader and game version, for example 1.20.1.

  2. File goes into the server’s mods folder

Stop the server, put the mod file into the mods folder and start the server again.

  3. Or use the “To hosting” button

On Millida Hosting, the button at the top of the page uploads the file to your server and restarts it for you.

Minecraft 1.20.1 runs on Java 17: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.
