Client-side mod to restore sword blocking. You just need to have a shield in your offhand (or be on a ViaVersion server). Works especially well if you want to use 1.16 on a 1.8 server that is running ViaVersion.
I recommend using this together with Item Model Fix, because it looks a lot better without these seams.
Should be allowed on every server, since it doesn't give you an unfair advantage, as it only changes the visual part of blocking.

The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.21.6–1.21.8 on Fabric, NeoForge or Quilt automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.

Install Fabric, NeoForge or Quilt
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.21.8. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
