Kontext: OptiFine ist seit langem ein großer Bestandteil des Minecraft-Modding. Genauso lange verursacht es Fehler mit Mods – seine Closed-Source-Natur macht es besonders schwierig, damit als Mod-Entwickler zu arbeiten. Aus diesem Grund wurden viele Alternativen geschaffen. Aber normalerweise replizieren sie nur eine bestimmte Funktion von OptiFine, was bedeutet, dass der Nutzer viele Mods installieren und sie konfigurieren muss, indem er im ModMenu nach der jeweiligen Mod sucht.
- Das erste Problem ist relativ einfach zu lösen, indem man entweder ein Modpack wie Fabulously Optimized herunterlädt oder Lambdas fantastische Liste alternativer Mods verwendet
- Puzzle wurde geschaffen, um Letzteres zu lösen, indem es eine vereinte Konfiguration für OptiFine-Ersatzmods mit integrierter Unterstützung für die relevantesten Alternativen und einer API bietet, die andere Mods nutzen können.
- Da viele OptiFine-Funktionen noch keinen Ersatzmod haben, fügt Puzzle auch bestimmte OptiFine-Funktionen selbst hinzu, wie von Resourcepacks bereitgestellte Splash-Screens
- Wir bieten Resourcepack-Entwicklern auch einige neue, innovative Funktionen, wie freigeschaltete Rotationswerte und größere Größen für JSON-Modelle.
Der Konfigurationsbildschirm ist sowohl im Vanilla-Optionsbildschirm als auch im ModMenu zu finden. ‎

The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.18–26.3 on Fabric, NeoForge or Quilt automatically, together with its dependencies: Fabric API, MidnightLib.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric, NeoForge or Quilt
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 26.3. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file puzzle-neoforge-2.3.1+26.3.jar (43 KB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it. Required dependencies go there too: Fabric API, MidnightLib.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Puzzle should be in the list.
Puzzle works on the player’s side only: there is no need to install it on a server.

Is Puzzle for Forge or Fabric?
There are files for Fabric: 1.18–26.3, for NeoForge: 1.21–26.3 and for Quilt: 1.18–26.3. There are no files for Forge: a mod for another loader will not start.
What does Puzzle need to work?
