Nemo's Inventory Sorting

Description

Nemo's Inventory Sorting is a client-side mod that adds buttons to your inventory GUI. Sort your inventory, move all matching or all items, or drop everything at once, all with a single click. It also improves quick moving with drag, split-stack, and single-item scroll transfer.

You can even filter and highlight items in containers by typing part of their name! Quickly filter items by pressing Ctrl + F (or Command + F on macOS). You can change the key binding in the settings.

For more information and to see how to configure the components check the wiki.

Tip: If you're a dark mode enthusiast, you can use the built-in dark mode resource pack.

⚠ Disclaimer

This is a client-only mod, which means it can give you an advantage over other players. Using it on public servers may get you banned depending on the server’s rules. Use at your own risk — or check with the server admins beforehand.

How to Use

Sort, Drop or Move Items

Simply click the buttons or use your custom keybinds. In the player inventory, clicking the buttons does not include the hotbar. To include it, use Shift + Click (or Shift + keybind). Set includeHotbarByDefault to true in config/nemos-inventory-sorting/general.json to reverse this behavior. Shift will then exclude the hotbar.

Quick Move Items

  • Shift + Drag: quick-move hovered items
  • Shift + Right-Click/Drag: quick-move half items
  • Scroll Up/Down: move one item between inventory/container or inventory/hotbar
  • Shift + Scroll Up/Down: also allow moving the last item from the source slot

The interactions can be toggled individually in config/nemos-inventory-sorting/general.json with enableDragQuickMove, enableSplitQuickMove, enableScrollTransfer, and enableSlotLocking.

Note: Split and normal scroll actions keep at least one item in the source slot.

Search Items

Click the search bar or press Ctrl + [keybind] (or Command + [keybind] on macOS), then start typing.

Filter by (Custom) Name

  • Golden
  • Diamond Sword

Installation von Nemo's Inventory Sorting

With Millida Launcher

  1. Install Millida Launcher

The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.

  2. Click “Install” on this page

The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.20.1–26.3 on Fabric, Forge or NeoForge automatically, together with its dependencies: Fabric API.

  3. Launch the game

A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.

Manually

  1. Install Fabric, Forge or NeoForge

The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 26.3. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.

  2. Download the file for your version

In the version list above, pick the file nemos-inventory-sorting-NeoForge-26.3-1.22.3.jar (171 KB) for your game version and loader.

  3. Put it in the mods folder

The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it. Required dependencies go there too: Fabric API.

  4. Launch the loader profile

Open “Mods” in the main menu: Nemo's Inventory Sorting should be in the list.

Nemo's Inventory Sorting works on the player’s side only: there is no need to install it on a server.
