Über die Mushroom Quest-Mod

Mushroom Quest — Screenshot 3

Welcome to Mushroom Quest! This mod's concept revolves around foraging for various real-world fungi while you set forth on an adventure to explore nature and live out your cottagecore fantasies. Hope you enjoy my first mod!

There are exactly 137 mushrooms you can forage for. Each mushroom is either common, rare or mythical rarity. All mushrooms are edible and most can give you either medicinal or deadly effects when eaten. Some mushrooms can also be used in crafting recipes, as fuel, or to brew potions! You can find these mushrooms by breaking various foraging blocks found across the world.

  • Oak Stumps are found in any biome populated by oak trees.
  • Birch Trunks are found in any biome populated by birch trees.
  • Field Trunks, and Shrumps are found in field biomes and forests.
  • Acacia Stumps are found in any biomes containing acacia trees.
  • Jungle Trunks are found in jungles and any other tropical forested biome.

The Mycopedia is a book that contains information about all the mushrooms! It includes the fungi's: Edibility, Location, Rarity, and Usage. (Currently under development!)

Funglings are small mushroom creatures that take many different forms. All of them, except for the Crimson and Warped variants, can be found in the Mushroom Islands biome, some can also be discovered in Dark Forests as well. These creatures can be tamed with dead bushes, or crimson/warped roots for the nether variants. Tamed Funglings can be told to stay or follow by shift + right-clicking on them. These little pets are purely cosmetic, they do not provide any sort of support or abilities just yet.

The Mushroom Cap is an aesthetic helmet the player can find with a 100% chance in the Witch's Cottage structure! These caps will start out "Blank" when a player first finds them, but they can then be dyed into any of 9 different color varieties!

The Sporestep enchantment is a new enchant that can only be applied to Mushroom Caps! This enchant grants the player a speed and jump boost, as well as slow falling when they are standing on mushroom-related blocks.

All the information listed above applies to the latest version of the mod, most of this information won't apply to older versions. I also will not be backporting this mod to any older versions.

With Millida Launcher

  1. Install Millida Launcher

The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.

  2. Click “Install” on this page

The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.20.1–1.21.1 on Forge or NeoForge automatically.

  3. Launch the game

A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.

Manually

  1. Install Forge or NeoForge

The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.21.1. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.

  2. Download the file for your version

In the version list above, pick the file MushroomQuest-NeoForge-1.21.1-v4.3.2.jar (1.4 MB) for your game version and loader.

Minecraft 1.21.1 runs on Java 21: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.

FAQ

Which Minecraft versions does Mushroom Quest work on?

There are files for 1.21.1, 1.20.1. The newest is 1.21.1.

Is Mushroom Quest for Forge or Fabric?

There are files for Forge: 1.20.1 and for NeoForge: 1.21.1. There are no files for Fabric: a mod for another loader will not start.

Does Mushroom Quest need other mods?

The author lists no required dependencies: the Forge or NeoForge loader is enough.
