Über die Magic Feather-Mod
Magic Feather is my take on a more balanced Angel Ring from Extra Utilities. It adds a feather that grants the player creative flight while within the range of an active vanilla Beacon. This allows the player to enjoy the benefits of creative flight while building, without making exploration trivial.
Interoperability
Magic Feather has built-in compatibility for Baubles in 1.12, and Curios in 1.16+. You can also check out its sister mod, Configurable Beacons, it will let you configure the area of effect of a beacon.
In 1.18.2+, this mod uses Points Of Interests to find beacons. This means that currently this mod is incompatible with Radium Reforged, as Radium Reforged changes how POIs work. This may change if Radium Reforged fixes the issue.
Magic Feather is currently a Forge-only mod, looking for Magic Feather for Fabric? Try Shulker Charm or Beacon Flight :).

The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.15.1–1.20.1 on Forge automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Forge
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.20.1. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file magicfeather-5.0.0.jar (22 KB) for your game version.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Magic Feather should be in the list.
Minecraft 1.20.1 runs on Java 17: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.

The author lists no required dependencies: the Forge loader is enough.

Minecraft 1.20.1 runs on Java 17. If the game closes right after launch, the usual cause is the wrong Java version in the profile settings.
