This simple fabric mod allows you to change the default world preset. This mod is intended for modpack developers who want a custom world without replacing the default and without making users change the setting.
To configure the default world preset you edit the default_world_preset.txt file in your config directory. It should contain the id of the desired default preset. The minecraft: prefix may be omitted. The configuration is read each time the key is used, so changes should show up be reopening the world creation screen.
This mod also changes the default on dedicated servers. You need to ensure that the preset is loaded in the initial datapacks for this to work. Most global datapack mods should work for this.

Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Fabric or NeoForge automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric or NeoForge
The loader must match the game version of the mod file. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file custom-default-world-preset-1.1.0+mc.26.1-snapshot-1.jar (12 KB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Custom Default World Preset should be in the list.
