SelectiveBounds

Hides the ugly block selection outline when not relevant, especially on foliage and non-solid blocks. The outline is smartly hidden when the wrong tool is equipped, or the tool cannot mine at all. Sneaking or building/destroying blocks temporarily shows it again. Behavior is fully configurable in configs/selectivebounds.json.

How to install SelectiveBounds

With Millida Launcher

  1. Install Millida Launcher

The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.

  2. Click “Install” on this page

The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.21.11–26.2 on Fabric, Forge or NeoForge automatically.

  3. Launch the game

A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.

Manually

  1. Install Fabric, Forge or NeoForge

The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 26.2. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.

  2. Download the file for your version

In the version list above, pick the file selectivebounds-neoforge-26.2-0.0.4.jar (182 KB) for your game version and loader.

  3. Put it in the mods folder

The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.

  4. Launch the loader profile

Open “Mods” in the main menu: SelectiveBounds should be in the list.
