About the Radiant Gear mod

Radiant Gear is a mod that acts as a simple compatibility bridge between Curios API or Trinkets API and dynamic light mods. With this mod, items in accessory slots will inherit the dynamic lighting behavior defined by the dynamic lighting mod. As an example, if a held torch would provide dynamic lighting, then installing this mod will cause torches placed in accessory slots to also provide dynamic lighting.

Please note: This mod does NOT add any content or slots on its own. In order to gain more slots or assign items into slots, users will need to either add a mod that adds that kind of content or add it themselves through the [Curios API configuration](https://github.com/TheIllusiveC4/Curios/wiki/How-to-Use:-Users) or the Trinkets API configuration.

Compatible Mods

  • Dynamic Lights
  • Lucent
  • Magnesium/Rubidium Dynamic Lights
  • Ars Nouveau
  • RyoamicLights
  • Embeddium++
  • LambDynamicLights

Note: This mod's sidedness depends on the dynamic lighting mod used. For example, if using Lucent then this mod is client-side only because Lucent is client-side only. On the other hand, if using Dynamic Lights then this mod is required on both client and server because Dynamic Lights is required on both as well.

How to install Radiant Gear

With Millida Launcher

  1. Install Millida Launcher

The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.

  2. Click “Install” on this page

The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.19.3–1.20.6 on Fabric, Forge or NeoForge automatically, together with its dependencies: Trinkets, Fabric API, Curios API.

  3. Launch the game

A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.

Manually

  1. Install Fabric, Forge or NeoForge

The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.20.6. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.

  2. Download the file for your version

In the version list above, pick the file radiantgear-neoforge-4.0.0+1.20.6.jar (40 KB) for your game version and loader.

  3. Put it in the mods folder

The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it. Required dependencies go there too: Trinkets, Fabric API, Curios API.

  4. Launch the loader profile

Open “Mods” in the main menu: Radiant Gear should be in the list.

Radiant Gear works on the player’s side only: there is no need to install it on a server.

Minecraft 1.20.6 runs on Java 21: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.
