About the Player Animation Library mod

A library that allows mods to animate the player, in a way that doesn't conflict with other mods. (and much more!) This mod is a library for mod developers, and does not do anything on it's own.

Here are SOME of the features:

  • You can load animations from Blender and Blockbench JSON files. (GeckoLib and Bedrock format)
  • Pretty good molang support!
  • Effect keyframes support like particle keyframes.
  • Ability to add custom pivot points (for example a hip bone that rotates everything except the legs around the hip)
  • Ability to add custom bones the location of which you can get in order to add custom particles.

How to install Player Animation Library

With Millida Launcher

  1. Install Millida Launcher

The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.

  2. Click “Install” on this page

The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.21.1–26.3 on Fabric or NeoForge automatically.

  3. Launch the game

A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.

Manually

  1. Install Fabric or NeoForge

The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 26.3. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.

  2. Download the file for your version

In the version list above, pick the file PlayerAnimationLibMerged-1.2.8+mc.26.3.jar (397 KB) for your game version and loader.

  3. Put it in the mods folder

The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.

  4. Launch the loader profile

Open “Mods” in the main menu: Player Animation Library should be in the list.

On a server

  1. A server on Fabric or NeoForge

The mod only works on a server with the same loader and game version, for example 26.3.

  2. File goes into the server’s mods folder

Stop the server, put the mod file into the mods folder and start the server again.

  3. Use the “To server” button

On Millida Hosting, the button at the top of the page uploads the file to your server and restarts it for you.
