About the ModelLoader mod
This library allow mods to load models in format mcx and gltf
There are 2 operation modes in the library:
- Loading models defined in the blockstate json files (ModelLoaderApi.registerDomain(MOD_ID))
- Registering the models directly (ModelLoaderApi.registerModel(id, location))
You can get back the baked model and the original model data with (ModelLoaderApi.getModelEntry(id))
The format MCX is just a json serialization of a IBakedModel so it simple and can be changed easily.
GlTF in the other hand, it's a complex format that uses binary encoding to optimize file size, allows animations and it's becoming an standard in the game industry.
Both types of models can be created with my 3D modeler it supports free vertex editing, uv editing and animations. There are some screenshots of the program:

How to install ModelLoader
With Millida Launcher
Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.12.2–1.14.4 on Forge automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Forge
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.14.4. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file modelloader-2.0.2.jar (291 KB) for your game version.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: ModelLoader should be in the list.
Minecraft 1.14.4 runs on Java 8: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.

Which Minecraft versions does ModelLoader work on?
There are files for 1.14.4, 1.12.2. The newest is 1.14.4.
Is ModelLoader for Forge or Fabric?
Only for Forge: 1.14.4. There are no files for Fabric or NeoForge: a mod for another loader will not start.
Does ModelLoader need other mods?
The author lists no required dependencies: the Forge loader is enough.
Which Java does ModelLoader need?
Minecraft 1.14.4 runs on Java 8. If the game closes right after launch, the usual cause is the wrong Java version in the profile settings.
