Impactor

A developer API meant to streamline work in a common environment, and support any sort of Minecraft environment, modded or vanilla. Additionally, Impactor attempts to maintain commonality amongst its codebase across Minecraft versions.

Impactor's primary objective is to simplify the work other developers are required to complete, while also allowing them to better support multiple platforms. Examples include:

  • ItemStack Creation
  • Players and Entities
  • Scoreboards
  • Economy

Provided Feature Set

While Impactor is a developer API at heart, it also provides a set of provided features server owners can immediately leverage just with installing this API.

Economy

A built-in service for the Economy API is provided by default, allowing you to establish a ready to go economy system.

The provided system supports multiple types of currencies and provides basic commands capable of interacting with the system. We also provide a /baltop command for those interested parties.

Should you be using another EconomyService, Impactor's API allows the replacement of our default service with a service which can mirror any API calls to the service you yourself are using. While this will require code, Impactor can be leveraged to feed information to other plugins while not requiring plugins to outright support multiple different economy systems.

What Platforms Does Impactor Support

As of 5.3.5, Impactor supports the following platforms:

  • Fabric
  • Forge

Support is planned for the following platforms:

  • Paper
  • Velocity

Supported Minecraft Versions

As of 5.2.0, Impactor supports the following Minecraft versions:

  • 1.20.1

Support is planned for the following versions:

  • 1.20.4
  • 1.20.5

Using Impactor in your Projects

Impactor does its best to provide API access in a manner that allows you to only pull in what you need. With this in mind, here's an example of pulling in the current economy API:

repositories { maven("https://maven.impactdev.net/repository/development") }

dependencies { implementation("net.impactdev.impactor.api:economy:5.3.5") }

How to install Impactor

With Millida Launcher

  1. Install Millida Launcher

The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.

  2. Click “Install” on this page

The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.20.1–1.21.1 on Fabric or NeoForge automatically, together with its dependencies: Fabric API.

  3. Launch the game

A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.

Manually

  1. Install Fabric or NeoForge

The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.21.1. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.

  2. Download the file for your version

In the version list above, pick the file Impactor-Neoforge-5.3.5+1.21.1.jar (18 MB) for your game version and loader.

  3. Put it in the mods folder

The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it. Required dependencies go there too: Fabric API.

  4. Launch the loader profile

Open “Mods” in the main menu: Impactor should be in the list.

On a server

  1. A server on Fabric or NeoForge

The mod only works on a server with the same loader and game version, for example 1.21.1.

  2. File goes into the server’s mods folder

Stop the server, put the mod file into the mods folder and start the server again.

  3. Use the “To server” button

On Millida Hosting, the button at the top of the page uploads the file to your server and restarts it for you.

Minecraft 1.21.1 runs on Java 21: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.
