About this mod

This mod will show a red vignette effect when your HP gets low to alert you. That's it.

You can define health thresholds for vignette intensity if you have Cloth Config and Mod Menu installed. Compatible with Iris Shaders.

How to install DamageVignette

With Millida Launcher

  1. Install Millida Launcher

The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.

  2. Click “Install” on this page

The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.18.2–1.20.4 on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge or Quilt automatically.

  3. Launch the game

A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.

Manually

  1. Install Fabric, Forge, NeoForge or Quilt

The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 1.20.4. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.

  2. Download the file for your version

In the version list above, pick the file damagevignette-3.0.0.jar (62 KB) for your game version and loader.

  3. Put it in the mods folder

The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.

  4. Launch the loader profile

Open “Mods” in the main menu: DamageVignette should be in the list.

DamageVignette works on the player’s side only: there is no need to install it on a server.

Minecraft 1.20.4 runs on Java 17: with a different Java version the game may close right after launch.
