It's a mod that makes maps update when they're anywhere in your inventory, so you don't have to hold them in your hands to keep them up-to-date. Leaves your hands free to use weapons, eat food, place blocks or whatever.
Adds a small tooltip just to let you know the mod is there. Since 1.1.0, this tooltip goes away after you look at it once. Since Season 2 (v2025), the tooltip is more configurable.
Why's it called "crowmap"? Well, it was made for /u/Crowfooted, who requested it on reddit or something idk it's been a while.

How to install Crowmap
With Millida Launcher
Install Millida Launcher
The launcher is free: download it at millida.net/launcher and sign in with any nickname.
Click “Install” on this page
The launcher opens and installs the mod for Minecraft 1.17–26.1.2 on Fabric, Forge or NeoForge automatically.
Launch the game
A profile with it appears in the launcher: click “Play”.
Manually
Install Fabric, Forge or NeoForge
The loader must match the game version of the mod file, for example Minecraft 26.1.2. After installing it, a separate profile appears in your launcher.
Download the file for your version
In the version list above, pick the file crowmap-26.1.2-neoforge-2026.08.31.jar (231 KB) for your game version and loader.
Put it in the mods folder
The folder is inside .minecraft (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). If it does not exist, create it.
Launch the loader profile
Open “Mods” in the main menu: Crowmap should be in the list.
